Project Implementing Entity definition

Project Implementing Entity means a legal entity (other than the Recipient or the Guarantor): (a) that is responsible for implementing all or a part of the Project; and (b) which is a party to the Project Agreement. If the Bank enters into a Project Agreement with more than one such entity, “Project Implementing Entity” refers separately to each such entity.

Project Implementing Entity means a legal entity (other than the Recipient or the Guarantor) which is responsible for implementing all or a part of the Project and which: (a) is a party to the Project Agreement; or (b) is not a party to the Project Agreement but is a party to an agreement (referred to in a Legal Agreement as a “Subsidiary Agreement”) whereby such party's role in implementing the Project or any part thereof is set forth. If there is more than one such entity, “Project Implementing Entity” refers separately to each such entity. For cases where clause (b) of this definition applies: the last sentence of Section 1.01 of these General Conditions shall be disregarded; the Association's obligation in Section 6.06(b)(ii) of these General Conditions to notify the Project Implementing Entity shall be disregarded; references to the Project Implementing Entity in Articles VIII and IX of these General Conditions shall be disregarded with the exception of the reference in Section 9.03; and, in those other Sections of these General Conditions where reference is made to a Project Implementing Entity’s obligations under the Project Agreement or under a Legal Agreement, such obligations shall be deemed to be those set forth in the respective “Subsidiary Agreement” referred to herein.

Project Implementing Entity or “PIE” means the Development Bank of Rwanda.

Examples of Project Implementing Entity in a sentence

• The Recipient shall, and shall cause the Project Implementing Entity to, ensure that the Project is carried out in accordance with the Environmental and Social Standards, in a manner acceptable to the Association.

• To facilitate the carrying out of the Project, the Recipient shall make the proceeds of the Financing available to the Project Implementing Entity under an amended subsidiary agreement between the Recipient and the Project Implementing Entity, under terms and conditions approved by the Association (“Subsidiary Agreement”).

• Except as may otherwise be explicitly required or permitted under this Agreement or as may be explicitly requested by the Association, in sharing any information, report or document related to the activities described in Schedule 1 of this Agreement, the Recipient shall ensure and shall cause the Project Implementing Entity to ensure that such information, report or document does not include Personal Data.

• The Recipient shall, and shall cause the Project Implementing Entity to establish, publicize, maintain, and operate an accessible grievance mechanism, to receive and facilitate resolution of concerns and grievances of Project-affected people, and take all measures necessary and appropriate to resolve, or facilitate the resolution of, such concerns and grievances, in a manner acceptable to the Association.

• Without limitation upon paragraph 1 above, the Recipient shall, and shall cause the Project Implementing Entity to, ensure that the Project is implemented in accordance with the Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (“ESCP”), in a manner acceptable to the Association.

More Definitions of Project Implementing Entity

Project Implementing Entity s Legislation” means the Memorandum and Articles of Association approved by Resolution No. 8 of the meeting of shareholders of the Development Bank of Rwanda, dated March 23, 2012.

Project Implementing Entity means either of the Project Implementing Entities.

Project Implementing Entity means ARB Apex Bank, ECG or VRA, as the case may be; and “Project Implementing Entities” means, collectively, all such entities.
