Rehabilitation Center definition

Rehabilitation Center means a legally operating institution or facility providing a program of coordinated and integrated services, including evaluation and treatment with an emphasis on education and training of those who have severe disabling impairments of recent onset or recent progression, or those who have had prior exposure to rehabilitation and require an identifiable intensity of services. It must be under the supervision and direction of one or more Physicians with 24-hour nursing care provided by Registered Nurses. The institution or center may not be used as a place of rest, as a nursing home or a place for the aged.
Rehabilitation Center means a dedicated and approved/accredited facility (either freestanding or a distinct part of an institution) staffed and medically supervised in the care and treatment of the physical restorative needs of patients.
