For all new hires after July 11, 2011 to qualify for "Years of Service Award", all years must accrue in Somerville School District Years of credited service of existing teaching staff members as of June 30, 2013, and as recognized at each step of the salary guide are indicated in the first column above.
An employee’s Service Award Date is the first day of his/her temporary, provisional, or permanent appointment to a position in the County.
If an employee is first appointed to a temporary or provisional position and then later appointed to a permanent position, the Service Award Date for that employee is the date of the first day of the temporary or provisional appointment.
