Service Award definition

Service Award means any award approved by the Court that is payable to the Class Representatives from the Settlement Fund.

Service Award means any Court ordered payment to Plaintiff for serving as Class Representative, which is in addition to any payment due to Plaintiff as a Settlement Class Member.

Service Award means such funds as may be awarded by the Court to the Representative Plaintiffs for their service as Representative Plaintiffs.

Examples of Service Award in a sentence

• The Settlement Amount shall be applied as follows: to pay all Settlement Administration Costs; to pay any other Court-approved fees and expenses; to distribute the Net Settlement Fund to Settlement Class Members; to pay the Fee and Cost Award; and to pay the Service Award.

• Payment of the Class Representative Service Award has no impact on and does not affect in any way the amount of money that will be paid to Settlement Class Members.

• No later than thirty-five (35) days prior to the Opt- Out/Objection Deadline, Plaintiffs shall apply to the Court for a Service Award in an amount not to exceed $5,000 each (for a total of $15,000), subject to approval by the Court, as compensation for (a) the work they performed to represent the class, and (b) the general release set forth in Section 7.1.

• Imperial has agreed to pay the Class Representative Service Award to the Named Plaintiff up to the amount of $5,000.

• If the Court grants the request for a Class Representative Service Award, and in whatever amount the Court approves the request, the Class Representative Service Award will be paid separately by Imperial, and will not affect or reduce in any way the amount of money paid to Class Members.

More Definitions of Service Award

Service Award means an Award that vests solely based on the passage of time or continued Service over a fixed period of time.

Service Award means an award authorized by the Court to be paid to each Plaintiff in recognition of his/her efforts in prosecuting the Action and obtaining the benefits of the Settlement for the Class Members, such award not to exceed Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) for each of the Plaintiffs.
