Simulcast definition
Simulcast means the broadcast (as that term is defined in the Act) of a programme via a Network where such broadcast:
Simulcast means the simultaneous communication of an over- the-air radio, pay audio or satellite radio broadcast via the Internet or another digital network, to a device, which is identical to the original signal and over which the recipient exercises no control over the content or the timing of the communication. For example, the recipient cannot skip, pause, rewind or fast-forward the com- munication of a file or influence the content of the communication by indicating a preference for a musical genre, artist or sound recording; (« diffusion simultanée »)
Simulcast means the simultaneous, unaltered, real-time streaming of the over-the-air broadcast signal of the sta- tion, or of another station that is part of the same network as the station, via the Internet or other similar digital net- work; (« diffusion simultanée »)

The SVOD Standalone Licensed Service, the FOD/AVOD Catch-Up Licensed Services and the Simulcast Licensed Services shall not exhibit Program episodes in High Definition.

Simulcast means in relation to a channel transmitted by means of Television Delivery the simultaneous transmission of the entire programming content in the same order and at the same time on and by means of a media distribution platform different to the one on which the channel is carried (which may include without limitation Internet and Mobile Platforms).
