Skills training definition

Skills training means systematic skill building through curriculum-based psychoeducational and cognitive-behavioral interventions. These interventions break down complex objectives for role performance into simpler components, including basic cognitive skills such as attention, to facilitate learning and competency.
Skills training means providing information and training to individuals and families designed to assist with the development of skills in areas including but not limited to anger management, stress reduction, conflict resolution, self-esteem, parent-child interactions, peer relations, drug and alcohol awareness, behavior support, symptom management, accessing community services, and daily living.
Skills training means the activities described in OAR 411-300-0150 that are intended to maximize the independence of a child through training, coaching, and prompting the child to accomplish ADL, IADL, and health- related skills.
