Standard Definition definition

Standard Definition or “SD” means (a) for NTSC, any resolution equal to or less than 480 lines of vertical resolution (and equal to or less than 720 lines of horizontal resolution) and (b) for PAL, any resolution equal to or less than 576 lines of vertical resolution (and equal to or less than 720 lines of horizontal resolution).
Standard Definition means (a) for NTSC, any resolution equal to or less than 480 lines of vertical resolution (and equal to or less than 720 lines of horizontal resolution) and (b) for PAL, any resolution equal to or less than 576 lines of vertical resolution (and equal to or less than 720 lines of horizontal resolution).

Examples of Standard Definition in a sentence

  • The parties agree that for each Territory, unless otherwise authorized by Licensor in the applicable Territory Exhibit or otherwise in writing, Licensee shall distribute the VOD Included Programs on a VOD basis pursuant to the Agreement solely in Standard Definition resolution.

  • Unless otherwise authorized by Licensor in writing, Licensee shall exhibit the Included Films in Standard Definition only.

Standard Definition or “SD” means a video signal with 480 interlaced scan lines of horizontal resolution.
