Tax Assistance definition

Tax Assistance means the cancellation of the Municipal Tax Increment levied on the Eligible Property during the Development Period for municipal purposes in accordance with the terms of this by-law and the CIP.
Tax Assistance means the deferral or cancellation of taxes for municipal and education purposes levied on the Eligible Property during the Rehabilitation Period and the Development Period pursuant to this By-Law. In the period before the Owner’s obligations under this By-Law have been met, Tax Assistance shall take the form of a deferral of taxes. Once the City of Kingston has confirmed that the Owner’s obligations under this By-Law have been met, Tax Assistance shall take the form of a cancellation of taxes.
