Utility Work definition

Utility Work means tasks, obligations and duties, exclusive of Incidental Utility Work and Excluded Environmental Work, required to either accomplish Relocation or confirm that no Relocation is required for a Utility, including:
Utility Work means the design and construction necessary for a Utility Adjustment, including any Incidental Utility Work necessary for the Utility Adjustment. Any Utility Work furnished or performed by CONTRACTOR is part of the CONTRACTOR’s scope of work; any Utility Work furnished or performed by a Utility Owner is not part of CONTRACTOR’s scope of the work.
Utility Work means any portion of the Work relating to (a) the Relocation of any Utility,(b) any Betterment, or (c) any Requested Relocation, in each case (a), (b) and (c), as further described in this Section 7.

Examples of Utility Work in a sentence

  • The costs of any such Betterments shall be resolved between the Department, the Design-Builder and the utility owners in their respective DB Utility Work Agreements.

  • The forms of DB Utility Work Agreements attached hereto as Appendix C, if any, provide a template provision addressing agreed upon Betterments.

  • Some utility owners with whom the Design- Builder and the Department will be entering into a DB Utility Work Agreement may request Betterments to their facilities as a result of required relocations of their lines.

  • The Design-Builder shall allow in its Baseline Progress Schedule and monthly updates, the time required for utility owners to accomplish the tasks and activities for which they are responsible, as specified in the Preliminary DB Utility Work Agreements (if applicable), Relocation Plans, and in this Part 4.

  • The DB Utility Work Agreements shall allocate responsibility for the design of utility relocations that are subject to such DB Utility Work Agreements.


More Definitions of Utility Work

Utility Work means the work to be performed by the Concessionaire pursuant to the Concession Agreement.
Utility Work shall refer to an adjustment necessitated by SCDOT’s Project of a public gas system facility by removing and reinstalling the facility; a move, rearrangement, or change of the type of existing facilities; necessary safety and protective measures; or the construction of a replacement facility that is both functionally equivalent to, but not including any betterment of, the existing facility that is necessary for the continuous operation of the system’s service.
Utility Work has the meaning given in Section 1.1 [Definitions] of Schedule 28 [Project Approvals and Utility Matters] Part 2 [Utility Matters].
Utility Work means tasks, obligations and duties, exclusive of Incidental Utility Work and Excluded Environmental Work, required to either accomplish Relocation or confirm that no Relocation is required for a Utility, whether performed by CDOT or Owner, including: design of the Relocation, including the creation of Relocation Plans; construction of the Relocation, including labor, materials and equipment procurement, temporary Relocation, and Relocation of existing service lines connecting to any Utility, regardless of the ownership of such service lines or of the property served by such service lines; and activities undertaken to effectuate the Relocation, hereinafter collectively referred to as “Utility Coordination,” including without limitation: verification by survey, potholing or otherwise that a Utility is, or is not, in conflict with the Project; provision of survey coordinate data, field surveys, and construction staking in the field for the construction of a Relocation; acquisition of Permissions and property interests; public information; traffic control; resurfacing and restriping of streets and reconstruction of curb and gutter and sidewalks as may be required by any relevant authority; development of and delivery to the non-Constructing Party of as-builts (or, in the alternative, drawings marked to show changes in the field) showing each Relocation; and activities performed to ensure and document that Utility Work is in accord with Relocation Plans, including, without limitation, materials handling; construction procedures; calibrations and maintenance of equipment; document control; production process control; and any sampling, testing, and inspection done for these purposes (collectively, “Quality Control”).
Utility Work. All Work with respect to Utilities described in Section 49, including the following: - Contractor’s reimbursement of Utility Owners for Relocation work they perform, - Any Betterments added to the scope of the Utility Work, - Any Work to be performed by the Contractor pursuant to Section 49.1.1.1 with regard to real property rights and interests; and - Contractor's duties with respect to Utilities that are Excluded Third Party Facilities.
Utility Work means temporary and permanent installation, protection, removal and relocation works relating to Utilities carried out in connection with or as part of the Project Work and related and ancillary works.
Utility Work means all work activities or undertakings being carried out or to be performed in, on, under, over or otherwise in connection with the existence, before or after the Effective Date, of Utility Infrastructure. For clarification, references in this Part 2 of Schedule 28 [Project Approvals and Utility Matters] to “this Schedule” shall be deemed to mean this Part 2 only and not the whole of Schedule 28.
