Wastewater works definition

Wastewater works means facilities for collecting, transporting, pumping and treating wastewater and the disposal of treated effluent and sludge.
Wastewater works means Sewers and their accessories, and all other associated physical elements used for collection, storage or treatment of Wastewater, and any related land, which are owned by, vested in, controlled or used by Irish Water;
Wastewater works means each system of (i) sewerage systems or sewage treatment works, serving more than 400 persons, as set forth in §62.1-44.18; (ii) sewerage systems or sewage treatment works serving fewer than 400 persons, as set forth in § 62.1-44.18, if so certified by the State Water Control BoardDirector of the Department of Environmental Quality; and (iii) facilities for discharge to state waters of industrial wastes or other wastes, if certified by the State Water Control BoardDirector of the Department of Environmental Quality.

Examples of Wastewater works in a sentence

  • The Customer, at its expense, must install a sewer interceptor to prevent the discharge of restricted waste into the Wastewater Works Sewer in the following circumstances; Grease and oil interceptors shall be installed for all food preparation facilities sufficient to prevent the discharge of grease and oil to the sanitary sewer system.

  • All other personnel operating the wastewater treatment plant must have the second highest wastewater certification grade/class level issued by the Wastewater Works Operators Certification Board of Examiners from the state of Virginia or reciprocity from applicable states.
