Winter Maintenance definition

Winter Maintenance means all winter-based budgeted work activities pertaining to the counties’ responsibility in meeting the Minimum Maintenance Standards as set out in Ontario Regulation 239/02 of the Highway Traffic Act.
Winter Maintenance means works in relation to the prevention of the formation of ice and the removal of snow and ice as set out or described in Section 5 of Part 2 of Schedule 6 [O&M Requirements] and all maintenance works and functions relating thereto.
Winter Maintenance means all winter based budgeted work activities pertaining to the municipalities’ responsibility in meeting the Minimum Maintenance Standards as set out in Ontario Regulation 239/02 of the Highway Traffic Act.

More Definitions of Winter Maintenance

Winter Maintenance means those works required to prevent the formation of ice and to remove snow and ice as more particularly identified in Section 5 of Part 2 of Schedule 6 and all maintenance works and functions relating thereto.
Winter Maintenance means snowplowing, snow-blowing, salting, sanding, or any other maintenance, service or operations which otherwise would be required as a result of snow, sleet, rain, ice or other winter weather or road conditions during the Winter Maintenance Period;
Winter Maintenance means any salt spreading, gritting or other such treatment of ice or
Winter Maintenance means snow removal, sanding, salting and all other reasonable steps necessary to make the multi-use path safe for pedestrians and cyclists, all to the standard required equal or exceeding the standards applicable to a sidewalk as defined in O. Reg. 239/02: Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways.
Winter Maintenance means snow ploughing, ice control, application of sand and/or salt mixture, application of brine direct liquid, snow removal where necessary and Winter Road Patrol, and excludes Capital Improvements, Regular Maintenance and Routine Road Patrol. Winter Maintenance shall occur throughout the Winter Maintenance Term.
