The Working Time Regulations 1998 state that employees do not have to work more than 48 hours a week on average over a 17-week period.
In accordance with the Working Time Regulations 1998 it is the responsibility of the Contractor to keep records of hours worked for each employee.
Staff may undertake work outside school, either paid or voluntary, provided it does not conflict with the interests of the school nor be at a level which may contravene the Working Time Regulations or affect an individual’s performance at work.
For the avoidance of doubt, the employee shall not be required to work in excess of the working week as set out in the Working Time Regulations 1998 (as amended), unless agreed in writing that this limit should not apply.
This agreement is sought in compliance with the Working Time Regulations 1998.
