Bus Duty. C. Every effort will be made to ensure that teachers are assigned to no more than one duty per day. Every effort will be made to minimize the non-teaching duties assigned to teachers in their first year of service. Whenever possible, they will be the last teachers assigned a regular duty.
Bus Duty. Bargaining Unit Members may be assigned to A.M. and P.M. bus duty. Flexible starting and ending times shall not extend the seven and one-half (7-1/2) hour workday.
Bus Duty. At the end of the school day, teachers will walk students to the bus line, however, they are not expected to remain with students.
Bus Duty. Teachers who are assigned outside of the building bus duty to ensure student safety on/off buses shall be compensated at the rate of seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) per fifteen (15) minute increments rounded to the nearest fifteen minute (15) increment for covering this duty. Compensation shall be made for time on duty outside of the contractual work day that is submitted to the treasurer on a timesheet that shall be paid twice yearly, once in January and once in June. Time sheets must be submitted in the school year in which they were worked and be signed by the building administrator within twenty-four (24) hours of time worked.
Bus Duty. For the safety of the children, if required, the bus duty will be equally shared between Northwest Elementary and Lincoln Jr. High paraprofessionals. One paraprofessional from each school will be required to ride for one semester, alternating different paraprofessionals for the next semester. No paraprofessional will be required to ride the bus for two consecutive semesters.
Bus Duty. The Board shall make every effort to limit bus duty to four (4) or fewer teachers per school per year. The acceptance of such duty shall be voluntary if possible. The Board shall compensate each teacher as per Appendix C per day of such service.
Bus Duty. Teachers assigned to the elementary schools may be assigned to bus duty. Persons so assigned shall be reimbursed at the appropriate rate.
Bus Duty. If elementary bus duty for the certificated staff member assigned to that duty on a given day extends beyond the established teacher work day by more than one-quarter (1/4) hour, the certificated staff member shall be compensated at the rate of $17 per hour for each hour or portion of an hour beyond the first quarter-hour of extended duty. All requests for compensation under this provision shall be on the standard Extra Bus Duty form, signed by both the requesting teacher and the principal, and forwarded to the Superintendent's office within ten (10) calendar days of the date of the extended bus duty.
