Employee Relations Officer. ‌ Should the grievance remain unresolved, the represented employee or CMEA representative may, within ten (10) working days after receiving the department head response, submit the grievance in writing to the Employee Relations Officer, via email with a copy either by fax or U.S. Mail. The Employee Relations Officer shall investigate the case and either respond to the grievance in writing within ten (10) working days of receipt of the grievance or meet with the assigned Association staff representative within ten (10) working days of submission and attempt to resolve the dispute. The Employee Relations Officer may use mediation to attempt to resolve the grievance. The Decision of the Employee Relations Officer at step 3 shall be final and binding.

Employee Relations Officer. The Union agrees to provide the District Employee Relations Officer with a list of Union Officers and Representatives who are authorized to Meet and Confer in good faith and to keep the list up to date.
