Employees with Midweek Days Off Sample Clauses

Employees with Midweek Days Off. When employees whose shift schedules provide for midweek day off (for example, Thursday to Monday shifts) book vacations where five (5) consecutive vacation days straddle two (2) work weeks, the week in which three (3) or more of the vacation days (for example, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) occur will be treated as blocked, but the week in which fewer than three (3) vacation days (for example, Sunday and Monday) occur will not. Instead, those fewer than three (3) vacation days will be treated as single days; and they can be booked in the first or second round of picking rather than having to wait until the third round. However, even though the week will not be treated as blocked, the Company may exercise its right to limit the number of employees off on vacation on any particular day.
