Engineering Design. Purchasers/Tenants are hereby advised that based on current servicing plans, underground services (including hydro, water and gas systems), street furniture and fixtures, including without limitation, hydro transformers, street lighting, light standards, fire hydrants, and cable, telephone and/or tap boxes may be adjacent to or located within their Lots, Potls or Units or common elements appurtenant to their Potl or Unit. The Vendor reserves the right to re-locate such services if it deems it necessary or expedient to do so, in its sole, absolute and unreviewable discretion. Purchasers/Tenants are hereby advised that any enquiries dealing with the proposed engineering design, lot grading, utility locations or general construction can be directed to Town of Ajax Building Approvals and Engineering Services Section at 619-2529 Ext. 3232. Engineering Design. Site civil design revisions will include preparation of a traffic control plan for the east end of the transfer station and the new pole barn structures. Structural design work will include calculations for pole barn framing and foundations and an evaluation of the existing retaining wall capacity to support the Recycle Center support columns. We have assumed that the improvements can be designed for seismic loads based on the applicable building code and will not require a site-specific seismic evaluation. Electrical work will include interior and exterior lighting in and around the pole barn structures and exterior electrical receptacles at the refrigerant recovery area for use of power tools. We have assumed that no HVAC or mechanical engineering design will be required.
Engineering Design. All new material furnished will be specifically designed to operate with original elevator equipment being retained, thus assuring maximum performance and eliminating any divided responsibility. Engineering Design. SPECIFICATION DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN OPTIMIZATION – TEST PROCEDURE DEVELOPMENT The goals of this task are to (1) design the components of the breadboard heat pump system; (2) select the components; (3) finalize refrigerant selection; and (4) finalize the design of the breadboard system. The Recipient shall: • Analyze potential options for components of the breadboard system. • Conduct literature search on advanced high temperature heat recovery heat pump technologies and finalize the selection of refrigerant to be used. • Prepare the laboratory test facility for the evaluation of the breadboard system and develop the Breadboard System Design Report that includes, but not limited to the following: o Results of the literature search o Design of the frame, positioning of the components o List of components and potential options of the breadboard system o Discuss refrigerants evaluated and the choice of refrigerant used in the system design and the reasons for the selection o Preliminary design of pipes and valves in the system o Electrical panel and wiring design o Instrumentation design • Prepare a CPR Report #1 in accordance with subtask 1.3 (CPR Meetings). • Participate in a CPR meeting.
