LABOUR STANDARDS. 1. All employment programmes and practices applicable to citizens of the State working on the Project in the Territory, including hours of work, leave, remuneration, fringe benefits and occupational health and safety standards, shall not be less beneficial than is provided by [insert name of the State] labour legislation generally applicable to its citizenry.
LABOUR STANDARDS. Several comments underscored the importance of this article and of protecting union bargaining rights. Comments suggested that this article should include references to “good industry practice” and cites to specific ILO Conventions and to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
LABOUR STANDARDS. It is the objective of the Company to establish and maintain fair and equitable labour standards for all manufacturing operations. Total reliance on the stop watch for work measurement makes it difficult to achieve this objective. Also, in order that the Company can be assured that the output of new tools and equipment will satisfy customer delivery and cost requirements, determining labour standards before installation has become essential. To support the above objectives and needs, the Company and Union agree to co- operate to establish the use of predetermined time standards. To facilitate this change a Union/Management implementation team will be formed, comprised of the Union Time Study Representative, (2) Union Representatives to be selected by the Union, one (1) non-incentive employee, one (1) Production Supervisor and one (1) member of the Industrial Engineering Department. The goal of this program is to adopt the use of a mutually agreed upon system of predetermining time standards on all new operations when practicable. The Company agrees to assume the cost of all orientation and training costs associated with the transition.
LABOUR STANDARDS. 1. The Contracting Parties, in accordance with their obligations under relevant ILO instruments, recognise that the violation of fundamental principles and rights at work cannot be used as an encouragement for the establishment, acquisition, expansion and retention in their territories, of an investment.
LABOUR STANDARDS. Members shall ensure that fair labour standards are maintained in their respective sugar industries and, as far as possible, shall endeavour to improve the standard of living of agricultural and industrial workers in the various branches of sugar production and of growers of sugar cane and sugar beet.

In the performance of the Contract, the Supplier shall ensure that basic labour standards are complied with, including: that the products / services supplied, in whole or in part, are not produced in contravention of the general ban on forced and compulsory labour as set out, inter alia, in ILO Convention nos. 29 and 105, that the products / services supplied, in whole or in part, are not produced in contravention of the general ban on the use of child labour as set out, inter alia, in ILO Convention nos. 138 and 182, that the products / services are produced, in whole or in part, in conditions where the general principle regarding the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining as set out, inter alia, in ILO Convention nos. 87, 98, and 135 are upheld, that the products / services supplied are produced, in whole or in part, in conditions where the general principle on the right to fair pay as set out, inter alia, in ILO Convention nos. 26 and 131 and Article 23 (3) of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights is upheld, that the products / services supplied are produced, in whole or in part, in conditions where the general principle on the right to fair hours of work as set out, inter alia, in ILO Convention nos. 1 and 30 and Article 24 of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights is observed, that the products / services supplied are produced, in whole or in part, in conditions where the general principle on the right to occupational safety and health as set out, inter alia, in ILO Convention no. 155 is observed. In the performance of the Contract, the Supplier shall thus comply with basic labour rights, including the ban on child labour and forced or compulsory labour as set out in the principles stated above of the UN Global Compact.
LABOUR STANDARDS. Seller declares to comply and cause any of its subcontractors to comply with the core labour standards of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and observe the compliance with collective agreements and the related minimum pay for employees.
LABOUR STANDARDS. Seller warrants that the Goods shall be produced in facilities that comply with local law and any safety, labor or employment, and environmental standards adopted by Buyer. Seller and its subcontractors shall comply with all applicable laws relating to labor relations and human rights in the production of Goods and its work places. Seller warrants that no child, prison, forced or involuntary labor shall be used by Seller or its subcontractors in the production of Goods. Seller and its subcontractors shall maintain a work place free from physical abuse and any practice in violation of local law. Seller and its subcontractors shall provide a healthy, safe work environment, wages and benefits as required by law, freedom of association and reasonable working conditions.
