Maintenance of Residence. All maintenance work requests MUST be submitted online by the resident reporting the incident; the work request reporting system can be found on Residence Life and First Year Experience or Facilities Management website. Verbal reports of work requests to University staff are NOT sufficient for reporting facility work requests. Residents must immediately report, via the online facilities work request system, any facilities maintenance issues. For emergency issues, residents must also call Public Safety for immediate evaluation and possible resolution. Residents will be held financially responsible for any damages, corrections, and/or replacement costs due to conditions attributed to the resident’s actions, inactions, and/or failure to notify Residence Life and First Year Experience or Facilities Management of the preceding.

Maintenance of Residence. By taking possession of the Residence, Resident agrees that the Residence and all Owner-provided furniture, fixtures, appliances and other items of personal property, if any, are in good, clean, and undamaged condition and that Resident is satisfied with the physical condition, order, and repair of the Residence and its contents. Upon expiration of this Agreement, Resident shall surrender the Residence and all Owner-provided furniture, fixtures, appliances, and other items of personal property in as good condition as on the Commencement Date, normal wear and tear excepted. If Resident or Resident’s guests or visitors damage the Residence or any property of Owner, Resident agrees to pay to Owner upon demand, the cost, plus 15%, for all repairs deemed necessary by Management to be made, and Management may make all repairs and submit a bill to Resident for such immediate payment. Resident shall, prior to the Move-in Date and, at Management’s request, upon the expiration of this Agreement, complete and return to Owner the Resident Move-in and Move-out Checklist attached as Addendum D. Management shall from time to time, and at Owner’s expense, on an as needed basis (unless need for maintenance is a result of the negligence or misconduct of Resident or Resident’s guests): (i) service heating and cooling units in the Residence; (ii) provide pest control in the Residence; and (iii) maintain the built-in stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, and range hood provided by the Owner in the residence.

  • CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF RESIDENCE FACILITIES The Student is responsible for the care of rooms, furnishings and equipment in the residence facilities, and for keeping the Student’s residence and shared common areas clean and sanitary, including, but not limited to, taking reasonable steps to control pests and insects. Furniture or fixtures are assigned to residence facilities and common areas on a room or area basis by UCF DHRL, and may not be moved or transferred from the assigned room or area without prior written or electronically reproducible permission from UCF DHRL. Changes or modifications to residence accommodations are prohibited, unless specifically authorized by a prior written or electronically reproducible approval from UCF DHRL.
