Network Resource Interconnection Service. 4.1.2.1 The Product
Network Resource Interconnection Service. An Interconnection Service that allows the Interconnection Customer to integrate its Generating Facility with the Transmission Provider’s System (1) in a manner comparable to that in which the Transmission Provider integrates its generating facilities to serve native load customers; or (2) in an RTO or ISO with market based congestion management, in the same manner as Network Resources. Network Resource Interconnection Service in and of itself does not convey transmission service. Network Upgrades – Additions, modifications, and upgrades to the Utility's Transmission System required to accommodate the interconnection of the Generating Facility to the Utility's System. Network Upgrades do not include Distribution Upgrades. Office of Regulatory StaffThe Office of Regulatory Staff of South Carolina. Operating Requirements – Any operating and technical requirements that may be applicable due to Regional Reliability Organization, Independent System Operator, control area, or the Utility's requirements, including those set forth in the Interconnection Agreement. Party or Parties – The Utility, Interconnection Customer, and possibly the owner of an Affected System, or any combination of the above. Point of Interconnection – The point where the Interconnection Facilities connect with the Utility's System. Queue Number – The number assigned by the Utility that establishes an Interconnection Customer’s Interconnection Request’s position in the study queue relative to all other valid Interconnection Requests. A lower Queue Number will be studied prior to a higher Queue Number. The Queue Number of each Interconnection Request shall be used to determine the cost responsibility for the Upgrades necessary to accommodate the interconnection.

Network Resource Interconnection Service. 4.1.2.1 The Product Transmission Provider must conduct the necessary studies and construct the Network Upgrades needed to integrate the Generating Facility in the same manner as all Network Resources. To the extent Interconnection Customer wants to receive Network Resource Interconnection Service, Transmission Provider shall construct the facilities identified in Appendix A to this SGIA.
