PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS. A constant and meaningful professional relationship between teachers and administrators is a critical element of an effective and productive educational climate. Open dialogue regarding school operations, school improvement, and the performance of both teachers and administrators is desired. Consistent with Board Policies addressing teacher and administrator evaluation, regular formative input will be invited, valued, and applied by both teachers and administrators. All input shall be presented in a manner that is professional and productive and shall be presented primarily during evaluation opportunities established specifically for the exchange of performance related criticism. References to personalities or leadership/teaching styles must be directly related to performance areas specified in employee job descriptions. If an administrator or a teacher finds that a specific concern arises regarding the performance of another teacher or administrator that needs to be communicated beyond specific evaluation opportunities, the following step-by-step process should be followed until the concern is resolved: Informal Procedures:
PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS. 5-1 The Board agrees to deduct from the teacher’s salary an amount certified by the Association to cover dues from the Centennial Education Association, and the National Education Association, upon receipt of a continuing salary deduction form signed by the individual teacher. The dues shall be deducted in twelve (12) equal payments. PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS. A. The Association's Executive Board, or a committee they shall designate, shall meet at regular intervals with the Superintendent of Schools and/or the Superintendent's designee to discuss matters of mutual concern including for example, the number and scheduling of meetings. Every effort shall be made to use such meetings to solve problems prior to submission to the Board of Education or to grievance procedures, and to keep lines of cooperation and communication open and effective. This provision shall not serve to prevent concerns from being addressed at the building level on an as needed basis.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR A. Teachers are expected to comply with reasonable rules, regulations, and directions adopted by the Board, or its representatives, which are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement, provided that a teacher may reasonably refuse to carry out an order which threatens physical safety or well being or is professionally demeaning.

  • Professional Service Consultant agrees that all services and work performed under this agreement will be accomplished in a professional manner, in accordance with the accepted standards of Contractor’s profession.

  • Professional Rights A Pharmacist in his professional judgment may delay or refuse to fill or refill any prescription if there is reason to believe that such action would protect the health of the patient or where reasonable doubt exists as to the legality of said prescription or the legal use thereof, after first having established the fact by having consulted the prescriber if said prescriber is available.
