Qualifications to Serve. A Governing Board Member, or his or her alternate must be duly selected in the manner described in Exhibit B and must be either: an elected official; chief administrative officer; chief law enforcement officer or fire chief from a Principal, or a person directly-reporting to the chief law enforcement officer or fire chief; or in the case of Snohomish County, the Snohomish County Executive or a Snohomish County Executive Director.

Qualifications to Serve. Board applicants and candidates must profess a strong desire to be involved in the success of the School. Board applicants must also exhibit professional behavior and be willing to give of their time, energy, and abilities to help the School achieve its stated mission and purpose, and must demonstrate an ability and willingness to attend all Board meetings, and to work with other Board members, staff and faculty, and others in achieving specific goals or completed projects adopted by the Board of Directors. Other qualifications for Directors may be established in the Board policies adopted from time to time. Such requirements shall be published in notices of vacancies or upcoming Director elections that are sent in accordance with Board policies. As per the Xxxxxxxxx School District #50 JT resolution to the School’s Charter Contract, the Board shall endeavor to include, at all times have one (1) member with a background and expertise in Finance and one (1) member with a background and expertise in Education. Should a vacancy occur in either of those two Board positions, the Board will immediately begin a concerted recruitment effort to fill said Board positions with qualified members.
