Common use of Relief Sought Clause in Contracts

Relief Sought. The official to whom the grievance is submitted shall render his/her decision to the employee in writing within seven (7) days of receipt of the written grievance, unless said official is the Superintendent of Schools, in which event the time limits are set forth in 3:3.4. Grievances filed at the advanced level based on an action of the Board of Education shall be initiated and handled at the level of the Superintendent, if applicable.
