Section 19.5. Persons employed on the effective date of this Agreement may apply for the apprenticeship 37 program at any time new enrollees are accepted. Applications will be accepted annually prior to 38 October 1st. 39 40 Section 19.5.1. Such employees shall receive partial credit for time worked in the District as determined 41 by the WPSCEJATC. 42
Section 19.5. 12 At times other than the annual evaluation, when it is determined that an employee's performance is 13 unsatisfactory unacceptable the supervisor will schedule a meeting with the employee to review the 14 information regarding the performance problems and plan for improvement. Employees placed on a 15 plan for improvement will have an opportunity for input into the plan of improvement. Supervisors 16 responsible for working with employees on a plan for improvement will periodically meet with the 17 employee to discuss their overall performance and/or progress regarding the plan of improvement. 18 Upon completion of the plan of improvement, the employee will receive a written summary/evaluation 19 of their performance. 20 23 A R T I C L E X X 24 25 SAFETY 27 Section 20.1. 28 The District shall take reasonable steps consistent with state law and District policies to protect 29 employees from assaultive behavior by students, parents, and other employees.

Section 19.5. 32 It is mutually agreed that the Association and the District will cooperate in coordinating staff 33 development programs for the secretarial employees. A committee shall work jointly with the District 34 in determining the expenditure of the allotted staff development funds. This committee will consist of 35 a minimum of six (6) members, with four (4) from the Association and two (2) from the District. The 36 District shall budget five thousand ($5000.00) dollars per year to provide for in-service training. A 37 financial report shall be provided to the Chapter President within two weeks of a written request. If in- 38 services are not planned by March of each year, these funds will be pooled and available for individual 39 staff in-service. 40 41 Section 19.6. 42 Secretaries may choose to attend trainings on Professional Development Days throughout the school 43 year. Employees may receive clock hours or hourly compensation. The District and Staff Development 44 Committee shall develop mutually agreed upon trainings. Planning and implementation of the trainings 45 shall be in place by May of previous school year, to take place the following school year. 47 48 3 4 5 Section 20.1.
Section 19.5. 31 If any provision of this agreement or the application of any such provision is held invalid, the 32 remainder of this agreement shall not be affected thereby. Such invalid provision(s) shall be 33 renegotiated upon written notice by either party within thirty (30) calendar days.
