TIME ASSIGNMENTS. A. Any teacher employed for less than full time, shall have his/her assigned work hours scheduled on a consecutive basis. Variation from this work day scheduling shall be allowed with the consent of the teacher and the Association. Teachers employed half-time or less shall be granted one-half (1/2) of the planning and preparation time contractually provided to full-time teachers. Teachers employed more than one-half (1/2) time shall be granted the same amount of planning and preparation time as is provided full-time teachers, as well as a regular, duty-free lunch period. RECALL FROM PART-TIME POSITIONS Any teacher assigned to a part-time position due to a necessary reduction in staff shall have the right to return to a regular, full-time position as such becomes available. When more than one employee is assigned to such a part-time position and/or is on lay-off, assignment under this paragraph shall be by seniority in conformance with the general recall provisions of this agreement.
TIME ASSIGNMENTS. 22:01 A Teacher with a part-time assignment, who, prior to March 1st, requests a full-time assignment commencing the following school year will be treated as a full-time Teacher for the purposes of staffing, and be given a full-time assignment where available, subject to the section on Release of Surplus Staff.

Part-Time to Full-Time A Teacher with a part-time assignment who, no later than five (5) teaching days following presentation of the approved school organization by the principal requests a timetable expansion for the following school year, shall be placed after the final round of of the spring process, providing they are qualified, up to an including April of the following school year, before any other candidates are hired. The Board will make one contact for offer of expansion. The teacher must respond to the requester by of the following weekday (excluding Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays) or they will be considered to have declined the offer. The Board will contact qualified teachers in order of seniority to offer expansions. Any person offered an expansion to a full-time position and he or she refuses the same, will have no further right to be offered a further full-time position. The Board will fill ensuing vacancies in the most convenient manner.

  • Overtime Assignments When needed, overtime work for full-time employees shall be scheduled among qualified employees doing similar work in the work location where the employees regularly work in accordance with the following:

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Room Assignments A. The University draws students from many states, nations, races and religions. It will be the responsibility of each resident to respect the rights of all residents in university residence halls. Admission to Texas A&M University – Texarkana and any of its sponsored programs is open to qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. Room and roommate assignments are made without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • Summer Assignments Employees who worked less than a 12-month schedule at the 10 time of their work-related accident will not be guaranteed summer employment while 11 participating in the Alternate Duty Program.

  • Employee Assignments A. All teachers will be given written notice of their salary schedule and building assignment for the forthcoming year as soon as possible after budget enactment. All teachers will be given notice of their class and/or subject assignments, responsibility assignments and room assignments for the forthcoming year and not later than July 31. In the event that changes in such schedules, class and/or subject assignments, responsibility assignments or room assignments are proposed after the above dates, all affected teachers will be notified promptly in writing and, upon request of the employee, the changes will be promptly reviewed between the Superintendent or the Superintendent's representative and the teacher.

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Housing Assignments The University assigns Licensee to a bed space and does not guarantee specific room types, buildings, communities, or roommates. The University shall have the right to reassign the Licensee to a different bed space without the Licensee’s consent prior to or during the term of the Agreement.

  • Relief Assignments 3.1 All possible regular relief assignments with five days work per week and two consecutive rest days (subject to Rule 2) shall be established to perform necessary relief work or to perform relief work on certain days and such types of other work on other days as may be assigned under this Agreement.
