Academic Faculty definition

Academic Faculty means all employees of the Board holding Tenure or Tenure-track positions; i.e., all Academic Administrators and Regular Faculty.
Academic Faculty means a person who has been appointed under Schedule A of this Agreement.
Academic Faculty means the individuals designated as faculty of LSU with respect to the LSUHSC-S GME Programs, including physicians and other qualified teaching professionals.

  • Faculty Workloads (Academic) Faculty (academic) – contact hours may vary by semester but shall not generally exceed the total contact hours for two semesters.

More Definitions of Academic Faculty

Academic Faculty means all employees who hold the rank of instructor/lecturer or a higher academic rank in an academic department at the University of Idaho, Idaho State University, Boise State University, or Lewis-Clark State College,
Academic Faculty generally means all people who teach (PWT) at USI. There are nonrank eligible and rank eligible academic faculty.

Related to Academic Faculty

  • Faculty means a Faculty of the University;

  • Academic year means the period of twelve months beginning on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July or 1st September according to whether the course in question begins in the winter, the spring, the summer or the autumn respectively but if students are required to begin attending the course during August or September and to continue attending through the autumn, the academic year of the course is to be considered to begin in the autumn rather than the summer;

  • scientific research means any activity in the field of natural or applied science for the extension of knowledge;

  • Scientists means employees who are university graduates in the Natural Sciences, the Applied Sciences, Mathematics or Computer Sciences, who are not classified as professional engineers, and who are engaged in the application of this specialized knowledge in the course of their employment. This definition includes all incumbents in positions identified under the heading of “Scientists” listed in Attachment A to Appendix I entitled “Utilization and Advancement of Professional Engineers and Scientists” in this Agreement. “Scientists” includes employees who satisfy these criteria and who are required to perform supervisory functions.

  • Adjunct faculty means those nonadministrative instructors, counselors, and librarians who are employed without a continuing contract, whose teaching load does not exceed one-half time for two full semesters or three full quarters per calendar year.

  • Researcher means a person appointed by us to carry out research into theoperation of this Contract;

  • Academic Board means the Academic Board of the University College established under paragraph 13;

  • Academic Council means the Academic Council of the University;

  • Research Use shall have the meaning given in Section 2.2.2 of this Agreement.

  • Research means a methodical investigation into a subject.

  • Faculty Member means any person hired by the college or District to conduct classroom or teaching activities or who is otherwise considered by the college to be a member of faculty.

  • Public research university means Rutgers, The State University

  • Professional Technologist means a person holding registration as Professional Engineering Technologist in terms of the Engineering Profession Act, 2000.

  • Investigators means those persons authorised, appointed, consulted or approached by the Chairman of the Audit Committee and includes the Auditors of the Company and the Police.

  • Research Results means any technical result acquired based on the Collaborative Research, including, but not limited to, any invention, idea, design, copyrightable work and know-how which relates to the purpose of the Collaborative Research.

  • Diversional Therapist means a person who provides, facilitates and co-ordinates group and individual leisure and recreational activities. This person must be a graduate from an approved university course which includes: An Associate Diploma and Diploma of Applied Science (Diversional Therapy); Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Leisure and Health); Bachelor of Applied Science (Diversional Therapy); Diploma or Bachelor of Health Sciences (Leisure and Health); an Associate Diploma course in Diversional Therapy; or who has such other qualifications deemed to be equivalent (such as a Four-year degree, Master’s Degree or PhD).

  • Speech pathologist means a person who engages in the application of principles, methods, and procedures for the measurement, testing, evaluation, prediction, consultation, counseling, instruction, habilitation, rehabilitation, or remediation related to the development and disorders of speech, fluency, voice, or language for the purpose of nonmedically evaluating, preventing, ameliorating, modifying, or remediating such disorders and conditions in individuals or groups of individuals.

  • Esthetician means a person licensed under this chapter to engage in the practice of esthetics.

  • Collaborative lawyer means a lawyer who represents a party in a collaborative law process.

  • Research Data means documents in a digital form, other than scientific publications, which are collected or produced in the course of scientific research activities and are used as evidence in the research process, or are commonly accepted in the research community as necessary to validate research findings and results;

  • Academic employee Academic employee shall mean an employee in the Professional Services Negotiating Unit with academic or qualified academic rank.

  • Proprietary school means a school that uses a certain plan or method to teach a trade, occupation, or vocation for a consideration, reward, or promise of any kind. Proprietary school includes, but is not limited to, a private business, trade, or home study school. Proprietary school does not include any of the following:

  • Collaboration has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1.

  • Proprietary medicine means a completely compounded nonprescription drug in its unbroken,

  • Cosmetologist means an individual licensed under this chapter to practice cosmetology.

  • Medicine means a medicine as defined in section 1 of the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act, 2003 (Act No. 13 of 2003);
