Building Works definition

Building Works means erection or re-erection/modification including complete or partial demolition of a building including full or partial thereof or making additions and alterations to an existing building.
Building Works means building work including mechanical and electrical installations in buildings and civil engineering works ancillary to building works, such as earthworks, basements, reticulations (stormwater, sewer and water), roads, paving, reservoirs, towers and the like

Examples of Building Works in a sentence

  • The Contractor shall be responsible for consequential effects arising out during the inspection done by the Chief Technical Examiner Cell, Central Vigilance Commission or by the Building Works Committee or third party authorized by WAPCOS or any statuary committee or by any duly authorized representative of WAPCOS, during the progress or any time after the construction and development of project up to the defect liability period, and will take appropriate action for rectification of defective work.

  • Rectification of defective works or replacement of sub-standard materials or articles, as pointed out by the Chief Technical Cell, Central Vigilance Commission, Building Works Committee or authorized representative of WAPCOS or third party authorized by WAPCOS or any statuary committee, will be carried out or replaced by the Contractor at his own risk and cost.

  • PWD (West Bengal) Schedule of Rates for Building Works and Sanitary & Plumbing Works in force including up-to-date addenda and corrigenda, if any, issued from competent authority as applicable for the working area at the time of submission of tender.

  • The Bills of Quantities have been prepared in accordance with the standard method of measurement of Building Works for East Africa, first Edition, Metric, 1970.

  • All work to be carried out in accordance with the Ministry of Public Works General Specifications for Building Works issued in 1976 or as qualified or amended below.


More Definitions of Building Works

Building Works means any work carried out on the Land including, excavation, construction and fencing. Completed means the relevant Building Works have been constructed and completed in accordance with this Contract (including the Design Guidelines and Estate Covenants), the terms of any approvals given and to the reasonable satisfaction of the DAP. Consultant includes a valuer, architect, builder, energy efficiency consultant, lawyer and/or landscape architect. DAP means the design assessment panel appointed by the Seller.
Building Works means building work including mechanical and electrical installations in buildings
Building Works means the building works to be carried out, completed and handed over to the owner in accordance with this contract as shown in the contract documents, and shall include all variations;
Building Works means the design and construction of the works required to carry out the Development, to be carried out by the Developer as described in the Approved Plans;
Building Works means the building works relating to the construction of the Building on the Land in accordance with the Building Plans and Optional Extras;
Building Works for above purposes means permanent buildings of two or more floors with all building shell and interiors works including but not limited to all services, utilities, electrical, HVAC, internal landscaping, parking, facade lighting, Green Building Certification etc.
Building Works means “Permitted Works” and “Landscaping Works” collectively
