Certificate for Payment definition

Certificate for Payment means a written certificate executed by the Authority indicating the amount that the Trade Contractor is entitled to be paid in connection with each Trade Contractor Application for Payment.

Certificate for Payment means each certificate, in the form prescribed in Section 6.4 of these General Conditions, issued by Design Professional subsequent to an Application for Payment and in accordance with the Contract Documents evidencing the amount of the Contract Sum then due to Contractor.

Certificate for Payment means the amount approved for payment by the Project Manager after the receipt of the Contractor’s Application for Payment, as more fully defined in paragraph 9.4.1.

• The Engineer shall conduct inspections to determine the dates of Substantial Completion and Final Completion, shall receive and forward to the Employer for the Employer's review written warranties and related documents required by the Contract and assembled by the Contractor, and shall issue a final Certificate for Payment upon compliance with the requirements of Clause 47 hereof and in accordance with the Contract.

• Architect will prepare a final Certificate for Payment after inspection or will notify Contractor of construction that must be completed or corrected before certificate will be issued.

• The final Certificate for Payment will constitute a further representation that the conditions precedent to the Contractor's being entitled to final payment as set forth in Subparagraph 9.9.3 have been fulfilled.

• However, by recommending a Certificate for Payment, the A/E shall not thereby be deemed to represent that he has made exhaustive or continuous on-site inspections to check the quality or quantity of the Work or that he has reviewed the construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures, or that he has made any examination to ascertain how or for what purpose the Contractor has used the moneys previously paid on account of the Contract Sum.

• The issuance of a Certificate for Payment will further constitute a representation that the Contractor is entitled to payment in the amount certified.

More Definitions of Certificate for Payment

Certificate for Payment means a certificate substantially in the form of Exhibit A hereto and executed by a Person approved by the City Representative that is delivered to the City Representative and the Trustee specifying the amount of work performed and the Costs thereof, and requesting payment for such Costs from money on deposit in the Project Fund as further described in Section 6.5 of this Indenture.

Certificate for Payment means the certificate of the Architect given from time to time in accordance with the terms and provisions of Section 6 hereof to fully or partially approve any progress payments requested in a Contractor Payment Request.

Certificate for Payment means, with respect to payment or reimbursement of Major Improvement Area Project Costs, a certificate substantially in the form of Exhibit attached to the Reimbursement Agreement and executed by a Person approved by the City Representative that is delivered to the City Representative and the Trustee specifying the amount of work performed and the Major Improvement Area Project Costs thereof, and requesting payment for such Major Improvement Area Project Costs from money on deposit in the Major Improvement Area Bond Improvement Account of the Project Fund as further described in the Reimbursement Agreement and Section 6.5 of this Indenture.

Certificate for Payment has the meaning set forth in Section 9.2.

Certificate for Payment means the form signed by Owner’s Representative attesting to the Contractor's right to receive payment for certain completed portions of the Work in accordance with Article 9.

Certificate for Payment means a certificate (substantially in the form of Exhibit A or as otherwise approved by the Developer and the Town Representative) executed by a representative of the Developer and approved by the Town Representative, delivered to the Town Representative, specifying the work performed and the amount charged (including materials and labor costs) for Project Costs, and requesting payment of such amount from the appropriate fund or funds. Each certificate shall include supporting documentation in the standard form for Town construction projects and evidence that the Public Improvements (or its completed segment) covered by the certificate have been inspected by the Town.
