Clause 21 definition

Clause 21. The contractor shall supply at his own cost all materials (except such special material if any) as may be supplied from the Public Works Department Stores, in accordance with the contract, plant, tools, appliances, implements, ladders, cordage, tackle, scaffolding and any temporary works which may be required for the proper execution of the work, in the original, altered or substituted form, whether included in the specification or other doone cubic metreents forming part of the contract or referred to in these conditions or not and which may be necessary for the purpose of satisfying or complying with requirements of the Engineer-in-charges as to any matter on which under these Conditions he is entitled to be satisfied, or which be entitled to require together with carriage therefor, to and from the work. The contractor shall also supply without charge the requisite number of persons with the means and materials necessary for the purpose of setting out works and counting, weighing and assisting in the measurement or examination at any time and from time to time of the work or materials. Failing this the same may be provided by the Engineer-in-charge at the expense of the contractor and the expenses may be deducted from any money due to the contractor under the contract or from his security deposit or the proceeds of sale thereof or of sufficient portion thereof. The contractor shall provide all necessary fencing and lights required to protect the Public from accident and shall also be bound to bear the expenses of defense every suit, action or other legal proceedings at law that may be brought by any person for injury sustained owing to the neglect of the above precautions, and to pay damages and cost such person or which may with the consent of the contractor be paid in compromising any claim by any such person.
Clause 21. Annual Leave and Term Leave (Teacher)
Clause 21. The Contractor shall supply at his own cost all material (except such special materials, if any as may, in accordance with the contract, be supplied from the P.W. Departmental stores), plant, tools appliances, implements, ladders, cordage, tackles, scaffolding and temporary works requisite or proper for the proper execution of the work, whether in the original, altered or substituted from, and whether included in the specification or other documents forming part of the contract or referred to in these conditions or not and which may be necessary for the purpose of satisfying or complying with the requirements of the Engineer- in-charge as to any matter as to which under these conditions he is entitled to be satisfied, or which he is entitled to require together with the carriage therefor to and from the work. The Contractor shall also supply without charge the requisite number of persons with the means and materials necessary for the purpose of setting out works and counting, weighing and assisting in the measurement or examination at any time and from time to time of the work or the materials, failing which the same may be provided by the Engineer-in-charge at the expense of the contractor and the expenses may be deducted from any money due to the Contractor under the contract or from his security deposit or the proceeds of sale thereof, or of sufficient portion thereof. The Contractor shall provide all necessary fencing and lights required to protect the public from accident, and shall also be bound to bear the expenses of defence of every suit, action or other legal proceeding, that may be brought by any person for injury sustained owing to neglect of the above precautions, and to pay any damages and cost which may be awarded in any such suit, action or proceedings to any such person, or which may with the consent of the Contractor be paid for compromising any claim by any such person. Contractor liable for damage done, and for imperfections. P.W.D. Resolution No.CAT-1087/CR- 94/Bldg.2.dt.14-6-89. Contractor to supply plant, ladders scaffoldings, etc. And is liable for damages arising from non provisions of lights, fencing etc.

Examples of Clause 21 in a sentence

  • Any bid submitted after the deadline for submission and receipt of bids prescribed by the Procuring Entity, pursuant to ITB Clause 21, shall be declared “Late” and shall not be accepted by the Procuring Entity.

  • Bidding Forms on or before the deadline specified in the ITB Clause 21 in two (2) separate sealed bid envelopes, and which shall be submitted simultaneously.

  • If the Student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those stated in Clause 2.1, the PEI will, within seven (7) working days of receiving the Student’s written notice of withdrawal, refund to the Student an amount based on the table in Schedule D.

  • Technical proposals will be opened by the authorized representatives electronically from the website stated in Clause 2.1, using their Digital Signature Certificate.Intending tenderers may remain present, if they so desire.Cover (Folder) for Statutory Documents should be opened first, if found in order, Cover (Folder) for Non-statutory Documents will be opened.

Related to Clause 21

  • Clause means a clause of this Agreement;

  • Finance Document means this Agreement, any Fee Letter, any Accession Letter, any Resignation Letter and any other document designated as such by the Agent and the Company.

  • Scope Document means the document (if any) that is provided with and becomes part of the Order Form and which defines sometimes in conjunction with a Service Description (as applicable) the Services to be provided.

  • Finance Documents means these Terms and Conditions, the Agency Agreement and any other document designated by the Issuer and the Agent as a Finance Document.

  • Finance Party means the Agent, the Arranger or a Lender.

  • Reference Documents means the documents provided with and so designated in the RFP. The Reference Documents, including Plans contained therein and/or so designated, are not Contract Documents and were provided to the Design-Builder for informational purposes only and are relied upon at the Design-Builder’s own risk.

  • T E Document means Tender Enquiry Document

  • Service Document means a claim form, application notice, order, judgment or other document relating to any Proceedings;

  • Programme Document means the formal document (in standard format) attached to this Agreement, which is concluded by the Parties and reflects expected results, detailed activities, timeframes and budget, and defines what is to be accomplished. The Programme Document is the basis for requisitioning, committing and disbursing funds to carry out planned activities and for their monitoring and reporting.

  • Scheme Document means this document including its Annexures, any addenda or corrigendum to this Scheme Document and/ or any other document issued pursuant hereto.

  • Facilities Agreement means the facilities agreement, dated as of September 17, 2012, entered into among the Issuer and certain of its Subsidiaries, the financial institutions and noteholders party thereto, Citibank International PLC, as new administrative agent, and the Security Agent, as such agreement may be amended, modified or waived from time to time.

  • the Schedule – shall mean the Schedule attached hereto, the content thereof being incorporated into the body of this Agreement

  • this Deed means this Deed and Schedules all read together.

  • TE Document means Tender Enquiry Document

  • EU Standard Contractual Clauses means: (i) the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission on 4th June 2021 or (ii) such other standard contractual clauses that are approved by the European Commission for Controller to Processor transfers of Personal Data to a third country which has not received an EU Adequacy Decision (and are subsequently incorporated into the DPA). GDPR means the EU General Data Protection Regulation being Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

  • Paragraph 3 The use of new instructional materials and classroom presentations that may involve controversial issues should be planned by the individual teacher and discussed with the department chairman and the building principal before they are initiated in the classroom.

  • Creditor Party means the Agent, the Security Trustee, the Swap Bank or any Lender, whether as at the date of this Agreement or at any later time;

  • Security Party means each Owner, the Approved Manager and any other person (except a Creditor Party) who, as a surety or mortgagor, as a party to any subordination or priorities arrangement, or in any similar capacity, executes a document falling within the final paragraph of the definition of “Finance Documents”;

  • FATCA FFI means a foreign financial institution as defined in section 1471(d)(4) of the Code which, if any Finance Party is not a FATCA Exempt Party, could be required to make a FATCA Deduction.

  • subclause means subclause of the Clause in which the term is used;

  • Model Clauses means the standard contractual clauses annexed to the EU Commission Decision 2010/87/EU of 5 February 2010 for the transfer of Personal Data to Processors established in third countries under the EU Directives and any amendment, replacement or renewal thereof by the European Commission.

  • Clauses means these contractual clauses, which are a free-standing document that does not incorporate commercial business terms established by the parties under separate commercial arrangements. The details of the transfer (as well as the personal data covered) are specified in Annex B, which forms an integral part of the clauses.

  • Standard Contractual Clauses means the clauses attached hereto as Exhibit 1 pursuant to the European Commission’s decision (C(2010)593) of 5 February 2010 on Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer of personal data to processors established in third countries which do not ensure an adequate level of data protection.

  • relevant document means, with respect to a Receivable:

  • Paragraph 4 The teacher, not the Board, has the responsibility to initiate a change or the termination of the purchase of tax-deferred annuities in accordance with established Board policies.

  • Credit Document means any of this Agreement, the Revolving Loan Notes, if any, the Collateral Documents, the Asset Purchase Agreement, any Receivables Purchase Agreement, the Servicing Agreement, the Backup Servicing Agreement, the Custodial Agreement and all other documents, instruments or agreements executed and delivered by Company or Holdings for the benefit of any Agent or any Lender in connection herewith.
