Department of Education means the United States Department of Education.
Secretary of Education means the Commissioner of Education and the Secretary of the United States Department of Education (who succeeded to the functions of the Commissioner of Education pursuant to the Department of Education Organization Act), or any officer, board, body, commission or agency succeeding to the functions thereof under the Higher Education Act.
State Board of Education means and refers to the Board that exercises general control and supervision over the public schools of the State of Alabama as constituted and authorized by ALA. CODE § 16-3-1, et seq. (1975).
Board of Education means the Board of Education of the District.
Diocesan Board of Education means that body constituted under the Diocesan Boards of Education Measure 1991 for the Diocese and any successor body;
State educational agency means any state educational licensing authority, agency, department, board or commission that provides an approval, certification, exemption or other authorization necessary for a postsecondary institution (whether its main campus, branch campus, additional location, satellite or other facility thereof) to provide postsecondary education in that state including any distance education.
State education agency means the department.
State educational institution means an institution enumerated in Article 12, Section 11 of the constitution of New Mexico;
County office means any officer, department, board, commission, agency, court, or other instrumentality of a county.
Adult education means all education or instruction,
primary education means education offered in years numbered 1 to 7, both inclusive.
County Counsel means County’s Office of the County Counsel.
Office of the Governor means the Governor; his chief of staff, counsel, director of policy, Cabinet
County Council means Greenville County Council, the governing body of the County.
County Government means the county government provided for under Article 176 of the Constitution;
General education means the compulsory school attendance phase as referred to in section 3 of the South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act No. 84 of 1996); and
United States Trustee means the Office of the United States Trustee for the District of Delaware.
Civil Service Commission means the commission required under Section 5 of Article XI of the Michigan Constitution of 1963.
Occupational education means that education or training
County commission means the board of county commissioners of the county.
District Council means a district council within the meaning of the Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 1972 F11”;
Postsecondary educational institution means a degree- or certificate-granting public or private college or university, junior college, or community college that is located in this state. The term includes the governing body of the postsecondary educational institution.
Indian Health Care Provider means a health care program operated by the Indian Health Service (IHS) or by an Indian Tribe, Tribal Organization, or Urban Indian Organization (otherwise known as an I/T/U) as those terms are defined in § 4 of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act (25 USC § 1603). Indian Health Care Provider includes a 638 Facility and provision of Indian Health Service Contract Health Services (IHS CHS).
District superintendent means the superintendent of a district or the chief administrator of a public school academy.
State institution of higher education means institutions of
Federal Health Care Program has the meaning set forth in 42 U.S.C. 1320a-7b(f).
