Laws of India definition

Laws of India means, in relation to this Agreement (if applicable), all laws in force in India, and includes all rules, regulations, orders, directives, notifications made or issued by any GOI authority with authority over the Company or the supply of electricity pursuant to or under any such law, and any decree or judicial decision given or pronounced by any court of competent jurisdiction in India;
Laws of India means all laws, treaties, ordinances, judgments’, decrees, injunctions, writs and orders of any court, arbitrator or authority, a statute, rules, regulations, orders and interpretations thereof of India and any central, state, municipal, regional, environmental or other governmental body, instrumentality, agency, authority, court or other body having jurisdiction over the relevant parties in India.

Examples of Laws of India in a sentence

  • If the Monitor has reported to the Chairperson of the Board a substantiated suspicion of an offence under relevant Anti-Corruption Laws of India, and the Chairperson has not, within reasonable time, taken visible action to proceed against such offence or reported it to the Vigilance Office, the Monitor may also transmit this information directly to the Central Vigilance Commissioner, Government of India.

  • If the Principal obtains information on the conduct of any of its employees which is a criminal offence under the relevant Anti-Corruption Laws of India, or if there be a substantive suspicion in this regard, the Principal will inform its Vigilance Office and in addition can initiate disciplinary actions.

  • The Bidder/Contractor will not commit any offence under the relevant Anticorruption Laws of India; further the Bidder/Contractor will not use improperly, for purposes of competition or personal gain, or pass on to others, any information or document provided by the Principal as part of the business relationship, regarding plans, technical proposals and business details, including information contained or transmitted electronically.

  • This contract shall be governed by the Laws of India for the time being in force.

  • These General Purchase Conditions shall be governed by the Laws of India.

  • If the IEM has reported to the CMD, MMTC, a substantiated suspicion of an offence under relevant Anti Corruption Laws of India, and the CMD, MMTC, has not, within the reasonable time taken visible action to proceed against such offence or reported it to its Chief Vigilance Officer, the IEM may also transmit this information directly to the Central Vigilance Commissioner, Govt.

  • This Guarantee is governed by the Laws of India and comes into force forthwith.

Related to Laws of India

  • Laws of the Game means the official laws of the game of football and futsal as promulgated by FIFA;

  • Laws means, collectively, all international, foreign, Federal, state and local statutes, treaties, rules, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, codes and administrative or judicial precedents or authorities, including the interpretation or administration thereof by any Governmental Authority charged with the enforcement, interpretation or administration thereof, and all applicable administrative orders, directed duties, requests, licenses, authorizations and permits of, and agreements with, any Governmental Authority, in each case whether or not having the force of law.

  • Company Bylaws means the bylaws of the Company, as amended.

  • COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA SS COUNTY OF PHILADELPHIA : The undersigned, being duly sworn, deposes and says that:

  • Parent Bylaws means the Bylaws of Parent.

  • Memorandum and Articles of Association means the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company, as amended and restated from time to time.

  • Governing Documents means, with respect to any Person, such Person’s charter, articles or certificate of incorporation, limited partnership, formation or organization, bylaws, limited partnership agreement, limited liability company agreement or other documents or instruments which establish the rules, procedures and rights with respect to such Person’ governance, in each case as amended, restated, supplemented and/or modified and in effect as of the relevant date.

  • Bye-laws means the bye-laws of the Company, as amended from time to time.

  • Company Governing Documents means the Company Bylaws and the Company Certificate.

  • Memorandum and Articles means the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company in effect from time to time.

  • Company Charter Documents means the Company’s certificate of incorporation and bylaws, each as amended to the date of this Agreement.

  • Commonwealth Citizen means any person who has the status of a Commonwealth citizen under the British Nationality Act 1981, not covered by the ‘UK Nationality’ definition above. This includes British Dependent Territories citizens (other than Gibraltarians), British Overseas citizens, and from 1986 those persons in the category British National (Overseas).

  • Parent Organizational Documents means the certificate of incorporation, bylaws (or equivalent organizational or governing documents), and other organizational or governing documents, agreements or arrangements, each as amended to date, of each of Parent and Acquisition Sub.

  • Constitutive Documents means the Trust Deed or such other documents as defined in the Regulations.

  • Company Articles means the Articles of Incorporation of the Company, as amended.

  • State of Incorporation means Delaware.

  • Charter Documents means, with respect to any entity, the certificate of incorporation, the articles of incorporation, by-laws, articles of organization, limited liability company agreement, partnership agreement, formation agreement, joint venture agreement or other similar organizational documents of such entity (in each case, as amended).

  • Corruption means the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. It may include improperly influencing the actions of another party or causing harm to another party. The gain or benefit may be for the person doing the act or for others.

  • Commonwealth means the Commonwealth of Australia and includes the Government for the time being thereof;

  • Commonwealth Act means the Workplace Relations Act 1996 of the Commonwealth;

  • Anti-Corruption Laws means all laws, rules, and regulations of any jurisdiction applicable to the Borrower or its Subsidiaries from time to time concerning or relating to bribery or corruption.

  • Constating Documents means, with respect to any Person, its articles and/or certificate of incorporation, amendment, amalgamation or continuance, memorandum of association, charter, by-laws, declaration of trust and other constating documents (in the case of a trust), partnership agreement, limited liability company agreement or other similar document, and all unanimous shareholder agreements, other shareholder agreements, voting trust agreements and similar arrangements applicable to the Person’s Equity Interests, all as in effect from time to time.

  • Company Charter means the Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation of the Company, as amended.

  • Good Standing means only that as of the date of this opinion the Company is up-to-date with the filing of its annual returns and payment of annual fees with the Registrar of Companies. We have made no enquiries into the Company’s good standing with respect to any filings or payment of fees, or both, that it may be required to make under the laws of the Cayman Islands other than the Companies Act.

  • Commonwealth Standard Grant Conditions means this document.

  • Anti-Corruption Law means, with respect to any Affected Person, the FCPA and any law, rule or regulation of any jurisdiction concerning or relating to bribery or corruption that are applicable to such Affected Person.
