Members of the Bargaining Unit definition

Members of the Bargaining Unit and “Members” wherever used in this Agreement without further qualification are defined to include all TET and NTE only those faculty members who are included in the Bargaining Unit pursuant to Section
Members of the Bargaining Unit. The full-time faculty and non-administrative full-time professional librarians as set forth more fully in section 1.1 and 1.2 of the Agreement, hereinafter variously referred to as “members.”

Examples of Members of the Bargaining Unit in a sentence

  • A Grievant is a Bargaining Unit Faculty Member or group of Bargaining Unit Faculty Members who has a grievance or the AAUP-WSU acting on behalf of Members of the Bargaining Unit.

  • Members of the Bargaining Unit shall be entitled to the following paid leave.

  • Members of the Bargaining Unit may use University phones, fax machines, computers, email, internet connections, and copiers (hereinafter referred to collectively as "University resources") for personal use, including Association activity, consistent with this article.

  • When tentative agreement is reached on all items, they shall be submitted first to the Members of the Bargaining Unit for ratification and then to the Board for ratification.

  • Members of the Bargaining Unit who have accepted an appointment as a Teaching Assistant for the ensuing Winter Session will be assigned to a specific course or other duties by August 31 if possible, and in any event no later than September 30.

  • Copies of the posting shall be sent to Members of the Bargaining Unit in the Library and to the Association.

  • Members of the Bargaining Unit shall have the opportunity to apply for the open position within six (6) working days of the posting.

  • Members of the Bargaining Unit subject to or on layoff status shall be given preference over new hires in filling vacant positions in the Bargaining Unit for which they are qualified.

  • Class grievance involving one or more Members of the Bargaining Unit or one or more supervisors, and grievances involving an administrator above the building level may be initially filed by the Association.

  • If the Members of the Bargaining Unit fail to appeal within the time limits established, the grievance shall be considered void.

Related to Members of the Bargaining Unit

  • Bargaining Unit means the unit of Employees as described on the Labour Relations Board Certificate.

  • Bargaining Unit Member or “employee” means a University employee who is included in the bargaining unit as defined in Article 2: “Recognition and Scope”.

  • Bargaining Unit Seniority is defined as the length of continuous service within the bargaining unit since the last date of entry into the bargaining unit.

  • Appropriate bargaining unit means the unit designated by the Employment Relations Board

  • Collective Bargaining Agreements shall have the meaning provided in Section 5.05.

  • Collective bargaining means the performance of the mutual

  • Collective Bargaining Agreement means any written or oral agreement, memorandum of understanding or other contractual obligation between the Company or any of its Subsidiaries and any labor organization or other authorized employee representative representing Service Providers.

  • Members of the Immediate Family means with respect to any individual, each parent (whether by birth or adoption), spouse, or child or other descendants (whether by birth or adoption) of such individual, each spouse of any of the aforementioned Persons, each trust created solely for the benefit of such individual and/or one or more of the aforementioned Persons, and each legal representative of such individual or of any aforementioned Persons (including without limitation a tutor, curator, mandatary due to incapacity, custodian, guardian or testamentary executor), acting in such capacity under the authority of the law, an order from a competent tribunal, a will or a mandate in case of incapacity or similar instrument. For the purposes of this definition, a Person shall be considered the spouse of an individual if such Person is legally married to such individual, lives in a civil union with such individual or is the common law partner (as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada) as amended from time to time) of such individual. A Person who was the spouse of an individual within the meaning of this paragraph immediately before the death of such individual shall continue to be considered a spouse of such individual after the death of such individual;

  • bargaining council means a bargaining council registered in terms of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, and, in relation to the public service, includes the bargaining councils referred to in section 35 of that Act;

  • Traineeship Scheme means an approved traineeship applicable to a group or class of employees or to an industry or sector of an industry or an enterprise. A traineeship scheme shall not be given approval unless consultation and negotiation with the union upon the terms of the proposed traineeship scheme and the traineeship have occurred. An application for approval of a traineeship scheme shall identify the union and demonstrate to the satisfaction of the approving authority that the abovementioned consultation and negotiation have occurred.

  • Exclusive bargaining representative means any employee

  • Non-Participating Registered Surgical Assistant means a Registered Surgical Assistant who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Railway Group Standards means standards authorised pursuant to

  • Bargaining representative means a labor organization recognized by an employer or certified by the commission as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative of certain employees of the employer.

  • Parties to a Traineeship Scheme means the employer organisation and/or the employer and the union involved in the consultation and negotiation required for the approval of a traineeship scheme.

  • Participating Registered Surgical Assistant means a Registered Surgical Assistant who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Membership service means service as an employee rendered while a contributing member of the

  • Management Members shall have the meaning set forth in the introductory paragraph of this Agreement.

  • Participating Companies means any insurance company (including Insurance Company) that offers variable annuity and/or variable life insurance contracts to the public and that has entered into an agreement with one or more of the Funds.

  • Designated Employees means a person occupying any of the following position in the Company:

  • Participating Company Group means, at any point in time, all corporations collectively which are then Participating Companies.

  • Members means all such Persons.

  • Person-Centered Service Plan means the details of the supports, desired outcomes, activities, and resources required for an individual to achieve and maintain personal goals, health, and safety, as described in OAR 411-004-0030.

  • Team Members means the members of the Team, jointly and severally;

  • Metropolitan Region Scheme or “Scheme” has the meaning ascribed to that expression in the Scheme Act;

  • bargaining agent means the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario.
