Membership and Dues Deduction. 5.1.1 District shall distribute CSEA-supplied membership applications to new hires (but not make any statement suggesting workers must join). The District shall not interfere with the terms of any agreement between CSEA and the District’s employee with regard to that employee’s membership in CSEA, including but not limited to automatic renewal yearly. CSEA shall have the sole and exclusive right to receive the payroll deduction for regular membership dues.
Membership and Dues Deduction. 17.1.1 The District shall honor the terms of any agreement between CSEA and the District’s employee with regard to that employee’s membership in CSEA, including but not limited to automatic yearly renewal unless the employee drops out during a specified window period. This window period shall be tracked by CSEA within its membership database.

New-Hire Notification Whenever a person is hired in any of the job classifications in this bargaining unit, the County shall notify such person that the Association is the recognized bargaining representative for employees in that classification. Both County and Association agree to keep duplicate originals of this Agreement in a readily accessible location, available for inspection by any County employee or member of the public upon request.
