Policy means this individual policy document, the schedule of benefits, and any endorsements, riders or amendments that will attach during the Period of Coverage.
Subject to the Terms of this insurance, and in the event the Insured Person has an Accident during the Period of Coverage which results in death during the Period of Coverage, the Company will pay an Accidental Death benefit in the amount of the Principal Sum shown in the BENEFIT SUMMARY.The Insured Person’s death must occur within ninety (90) days of the Accident and result, directly and independently of all other causes, from an accidental bodily Injury which is unintended, unexpected, and unforeseen.
A Sponsoring Organization may request renewal prior to the expiration date of the then existing Period of Coverage in accordance with and subject to the Terms of the plan then in effect (including the Terms of the then applicable Master Policy) and so long as renewal Premium is paid when due and the Sponsoring Organization otherwise continues to meet the applicable eligibility requirements of the plan.
Expenses incurred prior to the beginning of the current Period of Coverage or after the end of the current Period of Coverage except as described in Covered General Medical Expenses and Limitations and Extension of Benefits.
No Medical Treatment Benefit is payable for Reasonable Expenses incurred after the Covered Person’s insurance terminates as stated in the Period of Coverage provision.
