Real estate contract definition

Real estate contract means a contract for the transfer of ownership of real property.
Real estate contract or "contract" means any written agreement for the sale of real property in which legal title to the property is retained by the seller as security for the payment of the purchase price. The term does not include ear- nest money agreements or options to purchase real property.
