Union Representation definition

Union Representation means representation to be available to an employee of the Employer, covered by this Agreement, in the form of a Union xxxxxxx or Union officer and/or staff representative of the Union.
Union Representation. The School District shall not meet with an employee for the purpose of questioning in person or by phone who is the subject of an investigation, without first offering the employee the opportunity for Union representation. Such meeting shall not take place until a Union Representative is available or is released by his/her supervisor. An employee waving the right to such representation must do so in writing prior to any questioning. A copy of such waiver shall be furnished to the Local 70 business Representative and Union Xxxxxxx. Prior to any questioning of the employee, the employee must be given a general overview of the nature of the investigation.
Union Representation. The Union chief xxxxxxx shall be elected by the membership or appointed by the UNION, whose duty it shall be to see that all members live up to the rules of the Employer and the Union. The union chief xxxxxxx shall not be discriminated against in his employment because of performing the duties of his office. Management shall be advised, in writing, as to the name of the union chief xxxxxxx and any changes thereto before recognition will be given to the incumbent of the position. The union chief xxxxxxx shall be permitted reasonable time to investigate, present and process grievances on the EMPLOYER’S property without loss of time or pay during his regular working hours. Such time spent in handling grievances during the union chief xxxxxxx’x regular working hours shall be considered working hours in computing overtime if within the regular schedule of the chief xxxxxxx. The union chief xxxxxxx’x activities shall not interfere with the Employer’s business. Time cards shall be made available to the union xxxxxxx within a reasonable period upon request, to determine the hours worked by various employees covered by the agreement. Time cards shall not be removed from the branch office. The union Chief Xxxxxxx shall be the last person to be laid off, provided the employee possesses the qualifications necessary to perform all the duties required.
