Years of Service definition

Years of Service means the total number of full years in which a Participant has been employed by one or more Employers. For purposes of this definition, a year of employment shall be a 365 day period (or 366 day period in the case of a leap year) that, for the first year of employment, commences on the Employee's date of hiring and that, for any subsequent year, commences on an anniversary of that hiring date. Any partial year of employment shall not be counted.

Years of Service means each one year period for which the Participant receives service credit in accordance with the provisions of Section 7.01(d) of the Adoption Agreement.

Years of Service means each Plan Year of Service completed by the Participant. For vesting purposes, Years of Service shall be calculated from the date designated in the Adoption Agreement and Service shall be based on service with the Company and all Participating Employers.

Examples of Years of Service in a sentence

• Years of service benefits shall be lost by an employee upon termination, resignation, or retirement.

• Years of service shall be prorated for the purpose of calculating eligibility for the benefits under XXX #5.

• Years of service for part-time work will be computed on a pro rata basis; for example, a teacher who works half-time will be credited with .5 years of service.

• Pending funding, starting July 1, 2024, a Longevity Retention Stipend will be paid to employees who have reached the following years of consecutive service as a benefited FCPS support employee: Year Amount of Stipend 5 $250 10 $500 15 $750 20 $1,000 25 $1,000 30 $1,000 35 $1,000 40 $1,000 45 $1,000 Years of service will be reviewed as of June 30 and December 31 to determine payment amounts.

• Years of service is defined as the time necessary to qualify for an annual increment and is not meant to be interpreted strictly by time spent in grade.

More Definitions of Years of Service

Years of Service means the twelve (12) consecutive month period beginning on the Executive’s date of hire and any twelve (12) month anniversary thereof during the entirety of which time the Executive is an employee of the Bank. Service with a subsidiary or other entity controlled by the Bank before the time such entity became a subsidiary or under such control shall not be considered “credited service.”

Years of Service means the total number of twelve-month periods during which the Executive is employed on a full-time basis by the Company, inclusive of any approved leave of absence.

Years of Service means the total number of twelve-month periods during which the Director serves as a member of the Company's Board of Directors.

Years of Service means Participant’s total number of years of “accumulated service” as such term is defined with respect to salaried employees under the Retirement Plan for Koppers Inc. (regardless of whether Participant is eligible to receive a benefit under such plan).

Years of Service means each Plan Year of Service completed by the Participant. For vesting purposes, Years of Service shall be calculated from the date designated in the Adoption Agreement.

Years of Service means the Employee’s total years of employment with a Regency Entity, including years of employment with an entity that is acquired by a Regency Entity prior to such acquisition.

Years of Service means the aggregate period of time, expressed as a number of whole years and fractions thereof, during which the Participant was a member of the Board or served as an Employee (as applicable) in paid status.
