Common use of INSURANCE PERIOD Clause in Contracts

INSURANCE PERIOD. 1. The insurance period may be from 1 (one) day to 1 (one) year, depending on the duration of the Insured’s trip abroad. 2. Beginning and end times of the insurance cover: 2.1. For the covers under Clause 1 “Medical expenses”, Clause 2 “Legal assistance”, Clause 3 “General Third Party Liability”, Clause 6 “Family”, Clause 7 “Search and rescue expenses”, Clause 8 “Additional assistance services” and Clause 9 “Accident”, the insurance cover shall commence after the Insured has left the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, but not earlier than the date stated in the contract as the starting date, provided that the insurance premium has been paid, and shall end upon the Insured’s return on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, but not later than 24:00 hrs. on the ending date stated in the contract, whichever occurs first. 2.2. Under the conditions of Clause 4 “Cancellation, interruption or extension of the voyage”, the insurance cover shall commence as follows: 2.2.1. For the cover “Cancellation of the voyage” – from the date of insurance conclusion and payment of the due insurance premium, or from the date of purchase of the plane ticket or another transport document (whichever of the two has occurs later) and shall end at the departure time stated in the plane ticket or the transport document.
