Changing or Deleting Your Personal Data.
All users may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information furnished by a user in their user account (including any imported contacts) by contacting us at privacy@lawinsider.com or by accessing your user account. For your protection, we may only share and update the Personal Information associated with the specific email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before doing so. We will try to comply with such requests in a reasonably timely manner. If you completely and permanently delete all of your Personal Information, then your user account may become deactivated. If you wish to cancel your account, you may do so through your account page, and any personally identifiable information associated with your account will be deleted as soon as is reasonably practical or as required by applicable law. Our Company is based in the United States. The Services are controlled and operated by us from the United States and are not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States. Your Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers, and by using the Services you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, which may have data protection rules that are different from those of your country. Verification. In order to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, change, or deletion, we may require you to verify your credentials before you can submit a request to know, correct, or delete personal information. If you do not have an account with us, or if we suspect fraudulent or malicious activity, we may ask you to provide additional personal information for verification. If we cannot verify your identity, we will not be able to honor your request.
Authorized Agents. You may also submit a rights request through an authorized agent. If you do so, the agent must present signed written permission to act on your behalf and you may also be required to independently verify your identity with us. We currently do not share Personal Information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes, as contemplated by California Civil Code Section 1798.83, without your consent.
If you are a resident of Nevada, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of certain Personal Information to third parties who intend to license or sell that Personal Information. Please note that we do not currently sell your Personal Information as sales are defined in Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A

We will promptly review all such requests in accordance with applicable laws. Under the laws of certain jurisdictions, when processing personal data of data subjects in connection with the provision of Services to our Customers, we may be deemed a ‘data processor’ while our Customers are deemed ‘data controllers’. Where we are deemed a data processor, you should contact our Customer, the data controller, to pursue any such legal data subject rights. We will reasonably cooperate with our Customers to support and comply with any such data subject rights requests.
Consent. By expressly consenting to this Policy, you confirm you have read, understand, and consent to the collection, use, processing, and disclosure of your personal data in accordance with this Policy and understand that, in jurisdictions where it is available, Law Insider also relies on other lawful bases for the foregoing as more fully set out in this policy. We will only collect, use and disclose your personal data with your consent, unless otherwise permitted or required by law. Your consent may be given expressly or implied, depending on the circumstances and the sensitivity of the information involved. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
Cross-jurisdictional Transfers. By providing us with personal data, you acknowledge and agree that your personal data may be transferred or disclosed to other jurisdictions for processing and storage outside of Canada, including to the United States and the countries listed on our Subprocessor List, where laws regarding the protection of personal data may be less stringent than the laws in your jurisdiction. Furthermore, we may disclose your personal data in these jurisdictions in response to legal processes or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required or permitted by law.
