Common use of 16C Clause in Contracts

16C. 04 Librarians and Archivists have the responsibility to deal fairly and ethically with students, faculty, and other members of the academic community, to avoid discrimination, to xxxxxx a free exchange of ideas and to refuse to practice or permit censorship, to respect the principles of confidentiality in a manner consistent with their role, to seek the highest possible standards of professional knowledge and performance, to acknowledge their indebtedness to students and/or colleagues in relation to their own research (if any), to uphold and to protect the principles of academic freedom, and to strive to ensure the fullest possible access to library materials.
