A security procedure that enables a card-issuing bank to authenticate the cardholder authorising a Card Transaction at the time a payment is made. 3D Secure has other brand names depending on the Card Association whose branding appears on the card; brand names for 3D Secure include Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.
