3General Immunity Clause Samples

The General Immunity clause serves to protect one or more parties from legal liability for certain actions or omissions that occur in the course of performing the agreement. Typically, this clause specifies the scope of immunity, such as shielding a party from claims, damages, or losses arising from activities conducted in good faith or within the bounds of the contract. For example, a service provider might be immune from liability for indirect damages resulting from service interruptions. The core function of this clause is to allocate risk and limit exposure to lawsuits, thereby providing assurance and encouraging parties to fulfill their contractual obligations without fear of undue legal repercussions.
