A Change Order. or Construction Change Directive will become effective when approved by the Board, notwithstanding that Developer has not signed it. A Change Order or Construction Change Directive will become effective without Developer’s signature provided District indicates it as a “Unilateral Change Order”. Any dispute as to the adjustment in the Guaranteed Maximum Price or Contract Time, if any, of the Unilateral Change Order shall be resolved pursuant to the Payment and Claims and Disputes provisions herein. 17.1.4 Developer understands, acknowledges, and agrees that the reason for District authorization is so that District may have an opportunity to analyze the Work and decide whether the District shall proceed with the Change Order or alter the Project so that a change in Work becomes unnecessary.
