A/E Professional Responsibility Clause Samples
The A/E Professional Responsibility clause defines the obligations and standards of care that architects and engineers (A/E) must uphold in the performance of their services. Typically, this clause requires A/E professionals to exercise the skill and diligence expected of similarly qualified practitioners, ensuring that their work complies with applicable laws, codes, and industry standards. By clearly outlining these expectations, the clause helps allocate risk and ensures that the project owner has recourse if the A/E's work is negligent or fails to meet professional benchmarks.
