Abnormal Conditions. Employees working under abnormal conditions involving such things as gas, extreme heat, excessive dirt, prefab or installation of fibreglass, and similar physical circumstances which make the work unusually exhausting, distasteful or hazardous, shall be paid five percent (5%) above the hourly rate of pay. The question of whether or not the conditions are abnormal shall be subject to the available grievance and arbitration procedures.
Abnormal Conditions. If abnormal operating conditions that prevent the recordation of any required parameter occur during a SCT, Seller may postpone or reschedule all or part of such SCT in accordance with Part II.F below.

To the extent any Party is aware of any Abnormal Condition, such Party, subject to the satisfaction of and compliance with Regulatory Requirements, will make Reasonable Efforts to promptly notify the other Parties of such Abnormal Condition if it may reasonably be expected to affect a Party’s operation of its transmission system. However, the failure of any Party to provide notice in conformance with this Section 7.4 shall not constitute a material breach of this Agreement.
Abnormal Conditions. If abnormal operating conditions occur during a Test, SCE may postpone or reschedule all or part of such Test in its reasonable discretion in accordance with PART II.F. or PART II.G., below.

It is agreed to inform the other Party of such re-routing undertaken in the event ofseverance of routes. When only a portion of a route has failed, traffic should continueto be offered to the remaining portion of that route before overflowing to latter choiceroutes. In the event of the available capacity on the designated alternative routesbeing insufficient to handle all the overflow traffic, then each/either Operator mustcontact the other to seek agreement to route the remainder of the traffic through its own network to an alternative POI. The predefined prescribed arrangements anddetails of the information to be handed over in such an event, will be encompassed in 4.a document to be drawn up by the appropriate sub-committee. In the event that thepredefined routing arrangements for abnormal conditions cannot be implemented dueto exceptional circumstances within the PSTN, Telkom will provide details of thealternative arrangements which are to be implemented in their place.2.4 Route Diversity and Security ArrangementsFor reliability signalling links must be provisioned over physically diverse transmissionpaths and/or equipment where such exists. Any deviation from this rule must benegotiated and agreed to in writing between Telkom and Vodacom.Telkom undertakes that the following rules will apply with respect to service levels.These will be assessed over any Accounting Period:1. At a service level of 99. 5% there will not be a need for diversity in any form.2. At a service level of 99. 9% Telkom shall provide transmission equipment diversity but not necessarily route diversity.3. For the 99. 95% service level then Telkom shall provide transmissionequipment and route diversity.The above rules would not incur extra costs to Vodacom and any chance to themmust be discussed between the Parties.All 2 MBit/s systems carrying CCS 7 signalling links between MSCs and/or the POlsshall be clearly marked in the switching and transmission equipment rooms so as toprevent any unnecessary maintenance activities.The minimum number of links per link set shall be two. Any number of links per linkset, however, exceeding 2 shall be negotiated between Vodacom and Telkom. Abnormal Conditions. 11D.01 Employees working under abnormal conditions involving such things as gas, extreme heat, excessive dirt and similar physical circumstances which make the work extremely exhausting or distasteful shall be paid a premium of 25% of the hourly rate of pay. The question of whether or not the conditions are abnormal shall be subject to Article 11D.02 below and/or regulations laid down by the Department of Labour of Nova Scotia. 11D.02 Conditions will be considered abnormal where the employer must use programs, procedures or provide personal protective equipment to ensure that the exposure standards are not exceeded. The exposure standards will be as specified in the latest edition of the Threshold Limit Values for Chemical Substances, Physical Agents and Biological Exposure Indices published by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists. The application of this clause will be restricted to the Threshold Limit Values for chemical substances, the Threshold Limit Values for Cold Stress and the Threshold Limit Value for Heat Stress. This definition shall not exclude or cover conditions of excessive dirt or other physical circumstances which make the work extremely exhausting or distasteful.

The Parties shall inform each other of all re-routing of traffic where normal routes are unavailable. Where only a portion of a route is unavailable, the Parties should continue to route traffic to the remaining portion of that route before re-routing traffic to alternative routes. In the event of the available capacity on the designated alternative routes being insufficient to handle the overflow traffic, the Parties shall agree the manner in which overflow traffic is routed through their Electronic Communication Systems over alternative POI. The pre-defined prescribed arrangements and details of the information to be handed over in respect of abnormal traffic conditions will be encompassed in a document to be drawn up at the Operation and Maintenance meetings provided for in clause 5.3 Annexure "D". In the event that the pre-defined routing arrangements for abnormal traffic conditions cannot be implemented, due to exceptional circumstances, details of the alternative arrangements that are to be implemented must be supplied.
