Abstract Argumentation Theory Sample Clauses
Abstract Argumentation Theory. Argumentation theory studies the content of arguments used for drawing inferences. This is done by analyzing the structures of arguments, generally systematically in terms of argumentation frameworks. An example of an argumentation framework can be based on a debate between two agents discussing whether it will rain tomorrow. The example is taken from [11]. Suppose we have the following exchange of claims between agents a and b:
a : “Tomorrow will rain because the national weather forecast says so.”
b : “Tomorrow will not rain because the regional weather forecast says so.”
