A.C. Socket Outlets for Power Tools. Socket outlets shall be provided in general maintenance and repair areas, plant areas, pump areas, water treatment areas, generator area, fuel filling station areas, and other similar areas of the Terminal’s Buildings and Structures where repairs or inspections are likely to be carried out. Socket outlets for power tools shall be positioned such that the maximum cable length does not exceed 15m. Socket outlets shall be metal clad to IPW 67, weatherproof and incorporate a spring return flap cover. 2 gang socket outlets shall be installed. 16A, 230V A.C. socket outlets shall be supplied with a rated output of 3000 VA, with centre point earthed.
