Academic Extension Sample Clauses
The Academic Extension clause allows for the extension of deadlines or timeframes in academic agreements, typically to accommodate unforeseen circumstances that may impact a party’s ability to meet original obligations. This clause may apply to research projects, student assignments, or collaborative academic work, enabling parties to formally request and grant additional time when justified by valid reasons such as illness, resource delays, or other disruptions. Its core function is to provide flexibility and fairness, ensuring that academic progress is not unduly hindered by factors beyond a party’s control.
Academic Extension. Notwithstanding other provisions of this agreement, 36 assignments in the academic extension program may be compensated at a rate to be agreed to by 37 the academic extension administration and the bargaining unit faculty member without regard to 38 the bargaining unit member’s existing base salary. Compensation for assignments in the 39 academic extension program may be lump sums.
