Common use of Acceptance and Application of Rent Clause in Contracts

Acceptance and Application of Rent. Any endorsement, statement, condition, direction or other communication on or accompanying any Rent payment shall not be binding on the Landlord and the acceptance of any such payment shall be without prejudice to the Landlord’s right to recover the balance of Rent then owing or to pursue any other remedy available to the Landlord. Any payment received by the Landlord may be applied towards amounts then outstanding under this Lease in such manner as the Landlord determines.
