Common use of Accounting Period Clause in Contracts

Accounting Period. The Contractor’s accounting records shall be maintained on an annual basis. Approval will be given only if the Contractor submits proof of Internal Revenue Service approval for changing the accounting period and if the Contractor agrees to submit a close-out audit for the shortened accounting period, within ninety (90) calendar days after the first day of the new accounting period. For purposes of determining audit requirements, expenses and revenues incurred during the shortened accounting period shall be annualized.
