Accounting Terms; Interpretive Provisions Clause Samples

The "Accounting Terms; Interpretive Provisions" clause defines how accounting-related terms and concepts are to be interpreted within the agreement. It typically specifies that all financial calculations and references to accounting principles should be understood according to a particular set of standards, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and may clarify how ambiguities or inconsistencies in accounting terminology are to be resolved. This clause ensures consistency and clarity in the interpretation of financial information throughout the contract, reducing the risk of disputes over accounting methods or definitions.
