Actions Not Requiring Proper Instructions. The Custodian may, in its discretion and without express authority from the Trust or any Fund: (a) Make payments to itself or others for minor expenses of handling Securities or other similar items relating to its duties under this Agreement, provided that all such payments shall be accounted for to the Fund; (b) Endorse for collection, in the name of the Fund, checks, drafts and other negotiable instruments; (c) Surrender interim receipts or Securities in temporary form for Securities in definitive form; and (d) In general, and except as otherwise directed in Proper Instructions, attend to all non-discretionary details in connection with sale, exchange, substitution, purchase, transfer and other dealings with Securities and assets of the Fund.
